Burrell Research/Evaluation Staff

Paul Thomlinson, Ph. D.

Paul is Vice President of Research and Quality Assurance as well as Corporate Integrity Officer here at Burrell. Paul is a licensed psychologist with specialties in industrial/organizational, clinical, and experimental psychology and has extensive training and experience in research and evaluation, particularly in the integrated health care arena. He is a member of the faculty of several universities and is a regular contributor to the professional literature.

Matt Underwood, BS

Matthew is the Senior Research Associate for Burrell and has experience in research design, program evaluation, advanced statistical analysis, and the development of electronic data collection and management systems. He has worked on several research projects and program evaluations that include the Show-Me Kids System of Care, the Ready to Learn Project, several Missouri SPF-SIG evaluations, CSAT Homeless Services Grant, the Readiness for Kindergarten project with the City of Springfield’s Mayor’s Commission – School Readiness Work Group, and the Recovery After Initial Schizophrenic Episode (RAISE) Early Treatment Program. Matthew is currently pursuing a Master of Science in experimental psychology from Missouri State University.

Victoria Rowden, BA

Victoria is a Research Associate with Burrell. She has experience with quantitative and qualitative research design and implementation, technical writing and editing, and statistical analysis and interpretation. She has worked on numerous research projects, including two nationwide studies—Recovery After Initial Schizophrenic Episode (RAISE) and the Research and Evaluation of Antipsychotic Treatment in Community Behavioral Health Organizations, Outcomes Study (REACH-OUT). Victoria is currently pursuing a Master of Science in experimental psychology from Missouri State University.

Holly Jones, Ph.D.

Holly is the Grants & Research Administrator at Burrell and adjunct faculty at Missouri State University. Holly is an anthropologist specializing in cultural/sociodemographic research, GIS, and advanced statistics. She has directed over 75 research projects for federal, state, tribal, and municipal agencies and has extensive training and experience in data collection, research design, and methodology.
