Seth R. Allen, Ed.D.
Dr. Seth R. Allen earned a Doctorate in Education from Boston University. He is an outpatient psychologist at our Main Center in Springfield and specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy, adolescent and adult treatment and evaluation. Dr. Allen also works at Greene County Juvenile Offices, where he provides valuable counseling to youth experiencing difficulty with legal concerns.

Carrie Alcorn, SLP
Carrie Alcorn, SLP, graduated from Central Missouri State University with her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology. Carrie is the Speech Therapist for Burrell’s Autism Center and is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. She has expertise in developmental and acquired speech and language disorders, and has previously worked in many settings including schools, hospitals, and private practice.

Sabrina B. Aronson, MS
Sabrina B. Aronson is a Psychologist and Clinical Coordinator at our Children’s Center in Springfield. She earned a Master of Science from Central Missouri State University. Her specialties include working with children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety disorders, trauma, identity issues, and/or depression.

Georgina Ashlock, Ph.D.
Dr. Georgina Ashlock graduated from Ohio University with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, where she works full time. Dr. Ashlock is a part-time outpatient psychologist at the Burrell Kingsley Clinic in Springfield. She specializes in working with adults with all types of mental illness.

Joseph Babin, MD
Dr. Babin earned his Medical Degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed his psychiatric residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. He has been a board certified psychiatrist since 1990 and currently practices at the Main Center in Springfield where he provides psychiatric services for adolescents, adults, and senior adults.

Susan Baker, MS, LPC
Susan Baker, LPC, graduated from Missouri State University with a Master of Science in Counseling with a Community Agency tract and is a licensed professional counselor. She is a Community Support Supervisor at our Transitions office in Springfield, and has experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness.

Mildred Baluyot, MD
Dr. Baluyot earned her Medical Degree from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center and has been a board certified psychiatrist since 1999. Dr. Baluyot provides psychiatric services to adults and senior adults at Burrell’s Main Center in Springfield.

Stephanie Basham, MS, LPC
Stephanie Basham, LPC, is the Director of Child and Youth CPRC Services at the Children’s Center in Springfield. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Missouri State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor

Allicia Baum, Psy.D.
Dr. Allicia Baum graduated from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield with her doctorate and is a licensed psychologist. Dr. Baum is an outpatient therapist at the Children’s Center in Springfield and specializes in children and adolescents with attachment, behavioral, mood, and developmental disorders, as well as other children's mental health issues. She provides individual, family, group and play therapy, as well as diagnostic evaluations through the Burrell Autism Center.

Linda Beason, MS, LCSW
Linda Beason, LCSW, earned her Master of Science in Psychology and Counseling from Alabama A & M University. She is a certified teacher and school counselor. Linda works in Burrell’s Children’s Center and specializes in coordinating admissions for our child and adolescent residential facilities.

Andrea Bench, MS, LPC
Andrea Bench, LPC, holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Missouri State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Andrea is the Assistant Director of the Transitions facility and has expertise in Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment (IDDT).

Sherri Bent, MA, LPC
Sherri Bent, LPC, earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary with concentrations in Professional Counseling and Marital and Family Therapy. Additionally, she is in the process of completing the requirements for a Master of Science Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice at Drury University. Since 2000, Sherri has been employed with Burrell’s Crisis Assist Team and currently serves as Clinical Coordinator for that program.

John Bertsch, MA, LCSW
John Bertsch, LCSW, is the Director of Burrell’s Youth Substance Abuse Program. He earned his Master of Arts in Human Relations from Louisiana Tech University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Linda Blackburn, MS, LPC
Linda Blackburn, LPC, is a therapist working with Family Focus assisting clients to transition back into their homes after stays in residential treatment facilities. She earned her Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling at Southwest Missouri State University.

Matthew Bowers, MS, LPC
Matt Bowers, LPC, graduated from Missouri State University with a Master of Science in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He is a school-based therapist for Nixa Junior High School and Republic Middle School under the Missouri Foundation for Health, Prevention and Treatment Grant. Matt was previously a therapist in Springfield Public Schools for the Safe Schools Healthy Students grant, and has twelve years of experience working with youth in Southwest Missouri.

Lori Breedlove, MD
Dr. Breedlove earned her Medical Degree from University of Missouri-Kansas City. She completed her psychiatry residency and her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Dr. Breedlove is board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry and practices at the Children’s Center in Springfield. She specializes in group and family therapy and children’s day treatment services.

Theresa Breshears, MS, LPC
Theresa Breshears, LPC, is Health Coach for the MOSBIRT grant, a project located in Cox North Emergency Room. Theresa graduated from Missouri State University with a Master of Science in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Todd Brizendine, M.Ed., LPC
Todd Brizendine, LPC, is the Director of Bramblewood Residential Facility for children and Milano Residential Facility for adolescents. Todd graduated with his Master of Education in Counseling from University of Missouri in St. Louis and is Licensed Professional Counselor.

Tanya Broesder, MS, LPC
Tanya Broesder, LPC, earned her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Evangel University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a CPRC Supervisor at the Child and Adolescent Center in Springfield and specializes in trauma therapy, sexual assault therapy, substance abuse treatment and couples and family therapy.

Hilda Buckles, ANP
Hilda Buckles holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri in Kansas City and is a licensed Advanced Nurse Practioner. She practices in Burrell’s Main Center in Springfield and specializes in adult and senior adult individual therapy, psychiatric evaluations, medical psychotherapy, and medication administration.

Kristen Buckley, MS, LPC
Kristen Buckley, LPC, graduated with her Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Missouri State University and is a Licensed Professional counselor. She is the Residential Care Facility Services Coordinator at Transitions in Springfield.

Melissa Burns, MSW, LCSW
Melissa Burns, LCSW, is our Children's Day Treatment Assistant Director. Melissa earned a Master of Social Work from Southwest Missouri State University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in child and family therapy.

Lutie Butcher, Psy.D, LPC
Lutie Butcher, LPC, earned her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology and is an outpatient therapist and Community Support Supervisor in Burrell’s Bolivar office. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in child and adolescent individual, group, family, and play therapy.

Barbara Campbell, MS, LPC, CASAC
Barb Campbell, LPC, is the Health Coach Supervisor for the Missouri Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (MOSBIRT) project which is currently based in Cox North Emergency Room. She earned her Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Southwest Missouri State University. Barb is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Advanced Substance Abuse Counselor.

Stephanie Campbell, Ph.D.
Dr. Stephanie Campbell earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology at Mississippi State University and is a licensed Psychologist. She is an outpatient psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at the Child and Adolescent Center in Springfield and specializes in behavior therapy for children and adolescents who exhibit tantrums, noncompliance, aggression, toileting issues, sleep/bedtime challenges, educational/school difficulties, as well as behavioral issues related to autism spectrum disorders.

Salvador Ceniceros, MD
Dr. Ceniceros graduated with his Medical Degree from Saba University and completed his residency in psychiatry at East Tennessee State University, James Quillen College of Medicine. He is an outpatient psychiatrist at Burrell’s Child and Adolescent Center located in Springfield.

Teresa Condor, BSN, MSN, FNP-C
A graduate of the University of Phoenix – Honolulu, Teresa Condor practices as a Family Nurse Practitioner Consultant at Burrell Behavioral Health. Teresa is Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is qualified to work with individuals of all ages. Teresa leads Burrell’s Healthcare Home Program which focuses on coordinating the clients’ mental health treatment with his or her physical healthcare, ensuring optimal effectiveness and efficiency in delivery of care.

Ginger Crabtree, BA, BCaBA
Ginger Crabtree is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University and a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). She did her coursework and mentorship for certification with Dr. Vincent Carbone, currently with Carbone Clinic, Valley Cottage, NY. Ginger consultation for Burrell Autism Center’s Behavioral Day Treatment program. She has been doing assessment, consultation, program set up and staff training for over seven years. She has set up and implemented programming for children ages 18 months to 16 years. Her primary focus at this time is consultation and intervention for children ages 0 to 8.

Kristi Crane, MS, LPC
Kristi Crane, LPC, earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi College and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Kristi is a Health Coach for the MOSBIRT project located in Cox North Emergency Room.

Terri Crawford, M.Ed., LCSW
Terri Crawford, LCSW, is a Clinical Coordinator for Burrell’s Crisis Assist Team (CAT) located in our Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (ACSU). Terri graduated from Drury University with her Master of Education and Human Services and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Allan DeWoody, MS, LPC
Allan DeWoody, LPC, holds a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Southwest Missouri State University and is a therapist for Burrell’s Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit. Allan is a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Janet Duvall, MS, LPC, CASAC
Janet Duvall, LPC, CASAC, earned her Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Southwest Missouri State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Advanced Substance Abuse Counselor. Janet is an outpatient therapist at the Main Center in Springfield and specializes in individual, group, and marital therapy for adults, as well as therapy for those struggling with chemical dependency.

Merry Escano-Brown, MD
Dr. Escano-Brown graduated from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center with her Medical Degree and completed her psychiatry residency at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She specializes in adult and senior adult psychiatric services and practices at Transitions.

Joyce Everson, Psy.D.
Joyce Everson is a licensed Psychologist who has enjoyed working at Burrell for over 25 years. Dr. Everson earned her Doctor of Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and she specializes in adult psychotherapy at the Main Center in Springfield.

Amy M. Fisch, PhD
Dr. Amy Fisch graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology with a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology. She is a licensed psychologist and currently practices at the Child and Adolescent Center and the Main Center in Springfield. She specializes in the evaluation and assessment of children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties. She also provides individual therapy to adults with a broad range of difficulties.

Terry Fithen, RN, BSN
Terry Fithen is Burrell’s Director of Nursing and Disease Management Specialist with her Associate of Nursing degree from Victoria College in Victoria, Texas and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from SBU. Terry’s experience includes working as a pediatric, neonatal, surgical and psychiatric nurse.

Laura Flynn, PsyD
Psychologist Laura Flynn, a graduate of Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida provides administration and interpretation of clinical assessments and counseling for children and adolescents of all ages at Burrell’s Children’s Center. Dr. Flynn has significant experience in treating a variety of psychopathologies and difficulties including mood and personality disorder, trauma, sexual behavioral problems, anxiety, familial discord and other behavioral and relationship issues. Additionally, she has significant experience in executing court-ordered forensic evaluations and the provision of expert testimony in cases of child custody, parental fitness or ability to stand trial.

Janet Fritsch, MS, CCC-SLP
Janet Fritsch, CCC-SLP, graduated from the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences with a Master of Science in Speech Pathology/Communication Disorders and is a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Janet currently works in the Burrell Autism Center located in the Child and Adolescent Center in Springfield.

Marla Gamble, MS, LPC
Marla Gamble, LPC, is Health Coach for the MOSBIRT grant, a project located in Cox North Emergency Room. She earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Missouri State University and is Licensed Professional Counselor.

Edgar Galinanes, MD
Dr. Galinanes earned his Medical Degree at Central University of the Caribbean, School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and completed his psychiatry residency at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in the Bronx, NY. He is a board certified psychiatrist and practices inpatient psychiatry at Cox North.

J. Paul Goodwin, MSW, ACSW, LCSW
J. Paul Goodwin, ACSW, LCSW is the Director of Transitions in Springfield. Paul earned a Master’s of Social Work with Mental Health concentration and specialization in Management from Washington University. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Paul’s career has been devoted to community-based, psychiatric rehabilitation services for adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses.

Michael Hall, MA, LPC
Michael Hall, LPC, earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from the Denver Seminary. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and specializes in individual and family counseling, including children, adolescents and adults. He is an outpatient therapist at the Children’s Center in Springfield.

Diedra Hayman, PhD
Before earning her Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology in 1988 from the University of Florida, Diedra Hayman completed requirements for her Master of Arts degree in School Counseling. She is part of Burrell Behavioral Health’s outpatient psychology team working primarily with children and adolescents at Burrell’s Children’s Center. She has significant experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and families presenting with mild to severe behavioral health issues. Dr. Hayman is available for counseling on a variety of issues including, but not limited to, behavioral problems, depression and suicidality, grief, self-esteem, relationship issues, academic concerns, anxiety, and physical or sexual abuse.

Shelley Haney, LPC
Shelley Haney, LPC, graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with her Master of Science in Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Shelley is the Coordinator the Semi-Independent Apartment and START Living programs.

Sarah Healy, MS, LPC
Sarah Healy, LPC, graduated from Missouri State University with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is an outpatient clinician and Community Support Supervisor at the Burrell North Clinic located inside Cox North Medical Tower. Sarah primarily works with adults with various mental health issues. She has vocational counseling experience with teens and adults.

Susan Henderson, MS, Psychologist
Susan Henderson is Director of the Burrell Autism Center and Children's Day Treatment. She earned a Master of Science from the University of Central Arkansas and is a licensed psychologist with specialties in Autism, Attachment Disorders, and various children's mental health issues.

Rachael Herrington, Ph.D.
Dr. Rachael Herrington graduated from Texas A&M University with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She is a licensed psychologist who provides services in our Children's Center and Kingsley offices, both located in Springfield. Dr. Herrington specializes in psychological evaluations with both adults and children. She also provides individual, group, marital, and family therapy and has been trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Lin Hogan, Psy.D, LPC, CASAC
Lin Hogan, Psy.D, LPC, CASAC, works at Burrell’s Main Center as a Post-Doctoral Resident. Dr. Hogan earned his doctorate from The School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute. His professional specialties include health psychology, pain management, substance abuse treatment, and integrative health care.

Wanda Holloway, Psy.D, LCSW, CASAC, LPC
Dr. Wanda Holloway, Psy.D, LCSW, CASAC, LPC, graduated from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology with her Doctor of Psychology. Dr. Holloway is also a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Advanced Substance Abuse Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Certified Forensics Addictions Examiner. She is an outpatient therapist at the Main Center in Springfield who specializes in chemical dependency, eating disorders and obesity, as well as biofeedback.

Julia Howard, MS, LPC
Julia Howard, LPC is the Clinical Coordinator at Bramblewood-Children's Residential Facility. She earned a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Missouri State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has expertise in child and adolescent group and family therapy.

Alok Jain, MD
Dr. Jain graduated from King George’s Medical College in Lucknow, India with his Medical Degree and completed his psychiatry residency at University of Missouri in Columbia. He has been a board certified psychiatrist since 1999 and is currently practicing at the Main Center in Springfield. He sees patients of all ages and specializes in chemical dependency services.

Cheryl Johnson, MS, LPC
Cheryl Johnson, LPC holds a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Southwest Missouri State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Cheryl is an outpatient therapist at the Cox North Children’s Clinic providing therapy to children and adolescents in northern Springfield.

Sarah K. Johnson, MS, LPC
Sarah K. Johnson, LPC, earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Missouri State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a trauma therapist for Burrell’s Youth Substance Abuse Services program located in the Children’s Center. Sarah has expertise working in group and family settings with children and adolescents living with substance abuse issues.

Shahid Kaous, MD
Dr. Kaous earned his medical degree from Quaid-I-Azam Medical College in Pakistan and completed his psychiatry residency at the University of North Dakota. He is a licensed psychiatrist and is currently practicing inpatient psychiatry at Cox North.

Rebecca Koehler, MA
Rebecca Koehler obtained a Master of Arts degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Kansas in 1974. She worked for 23 years for the State of Kansas at a residential treatment center and has over 35 years of experience with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and others with severe communication and language problems. She is licensed in the state of Missouri as a Speech Language Pathologist and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech and Hearing Association. Ms. Koehler provides speech/language assessments and related therapy to children ages two and up, adolescents and also adults in Burrell’s Autism Center.

Shirley Ann Kolkmeyer, MS, LPC
Shirley Ann Kolkmeyer, LPC, earned her Master of Science in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is an outpatient clinician at the Children’s Center in Springfield and her clinical specialties include children over six years of age, adolescents, adults, and families, as well as Christian-based counseling.

Lori Lawrenz, Psy.D.
Lori Lawrenz, Psy.D, earned her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. Dr. Lawrenz works in the Main Center in Springfield and her specialties are individual and group psychotherapy, and psychological evaluations for the adult population.

Cheryl List, Ph.D.
Dr. Cheryl List is a licensed psychologist and graduated from Northwestern University with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She is an outpatient psychologist at the Main Center in Springfield and works with adults, and senior adults and specializes in treating mood and anxiety disorders.

Sharon Logsdon, MS, LPC
Sharon Logsdon, MS, LPC is a therapist at Milano. Sharon earned her Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Missouri State University. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2001. Her areas of expertise are children, adolescents, family, and group therapy.

William Mallot, Psy.D.
William Mallot, Psy.D, works in Burrell’s Bolivar and Branson offices Monday through Thursday and works in the Marshfield office on Friday. Dr. Mallot earned a doctorate at the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology. He is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist working with adults, with an emphasis in Narrative Therapy.

Usha Manusmare, MD
Dr. Manusmare graduated from B.J. Medical College at the University of Pune, India with her Medical Degree. She completed her residency in psychiatry and fellowship in psychosomatic medicine at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Her patients are adolescents, adults, and senior adults and she specializes in psychiatric evaluations as well as chemical dependency services. Dr. Manusmare practices at the Main Center in Springfield.

Cheryl Maras, MS, LPC
Cheryl Maras, LPC, holds a Master of Science in Community Guidance and Counseling from Eastern Illinois University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Cheryl is and educator and Supervisor of the Early Childhood Home Visitation Program (formerly known as the Stay-At-Home Parent Program). Her areas of expertise include, child, adolescent, adult, family and group therapy.

Curtis Mattson, PsyD
Dr. Curtis Mattson earned a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology in 2009 from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri. He has experienced working with adolescents, adults and senior adults and his specialized clinical services include chemical dependency, forensic evaluations, neuropsychological consultations/screenings, sexual abuse evaluations and group therapy. Currently Dr. Mattson is employed as an outpatient counselor working at Burrell’s Main Center, the Marshfield clinic, and the Kinsgley office.

Leigh Ann McGhee, MA, LPC
Leigh Ann McGhee, LPC, graduated from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary with her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is an outpatient therapist at our Transitions facility in Springfield and works primarily with individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Jena Meyer, LPC, earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Missouri State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Jena works with children and adolescents in Burrell’s Youth Substance Abuse Program and specializes in chemical dependency, play therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.

Jeff Morgan, LPC
Jeff Morgan, LPC, graduated from Southwest Missouri State University with his Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and works in Burrell’s Crisis Assist Team (CAT) in Springfield. Jeff has experience in family, group, and marital therapy, as well as treating individuals with chemical dependency issues.

Jennifer Newman, LPC, holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from American International College in Springfield, MA. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor. Jennifer works as a Health Coach for the MOSBIRT grant, a project located in Cox North Emergency Room.

Brandi Noirfalise, MA, LPC
Brandi Noirfalise, LPC, graduated from the School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Post-Degree Certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Brandi is an outpatient clinician and Post-Doctoral Resident at the Main Center in Springfield. She works with families, individuals, and groups. She specializes in treating mood, anxiety, and personality disorders.

Martha Phillips, MSW, LCSW
Martha Phillips, LCSW, is an outpatient clinician at the Burrell Main Center, Cox Steeplechase office, and the Burrell North Clinic located inside Cox North Hospital. She graduated from St. Louis University with a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Martha has experience in working with both children and adults in school, office, home, and medical settings and experience providing individual, family, and group therapy.

Susan Pyle, Psy.D.
Dr. Susan Pyle, Psy.D, earned her Doctoral degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology after completing a Masters of Education from Louis University. Dr. Pyle is an outpatient psychologist in the Branson and Monett offices.

Gary Richardson, MS, LCSW
Gary Richardson, LCSW, graduated with his Master of Science in Sociology from Pittsburg State University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Gary provides outpatient therapy to children and adolescents in northern Springfield at the Cox North Children’s Clinic.

Kevin Robertson, MS, LPC
Kevin Robertson, LPC, earned a Masters from the University of South Alabama and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has expertise in individual and family therapy for treatment of depression, anxiety, and mood disorders in adults/children, as well as disruptive behavior disorders in children and adolescents.

Billie Rudminat, MS, OTR/L
Billie Rudminat is a licensed Occupational Therapist with the Burrell Autism Center located within the Child and Adolescent Center in Springfield. She received her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She has practiced as a pediatric therapist for the past 12 years in a variety of settings including clinics, homes, and schools, working with children from birth through graduation. She is also certified as a Level 1 therapist through the American Hippotherapy Association. Billie is excited to bring her knowledge and experience to the Burrell Autism Center to assist all kids in exploring and achieving all that they choose to do.

Sara Rutan, MSW, LCSW
Sara Rutan, LCSW, works as Burrell’s Outstate HIV Mental Health Consultant. She graduated with her Master of Social Work from the University Of Kansas School Of Social Welfare and she specializes in the mental health treatment of persons living with HIV/AIDS.

T. James Sammon, MD
Dr. James Sammon received his Medical Degree from Saint Louis University and has been a Pediatrician for almost forty years. He completed his pediatric internship and residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis and has been board certified since 1974. Dr. Sammon is the outpatient developmental pediatrician at the Burrell Autism Center, located in the Children’s Center in Springfield.

Paul Schulte, MS, LCSW
Paul Schulte, LCSW, is an Outpatient Clinician and has been at Burrell since 1989. Paul earned a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from Missouri State University. He specializes in marital and family therapy and practices in the Main Center in Springfield.

Dawn Simmerman, MSW, LCSW
Dawn Simmerman, LCSW, graduated from the University of Missouri in St. Louis with her Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Dawn is an outpatient therapist at the Children’s Center in Springfield and works primarily with children and adolescents.

Julie Skodak, MSW, LCSW
A graduate of Aurora University, Julie Skodak of Burrell’s Branson office, has significant experience in delivering mental health services to teens and adolescents. With Spanish as a second language, she has worked in collaboration with many school systems and agencies providing clinical assessments, adaptive behavioral assessments and individual and family therapies to mainstream and special-education students and their families. Julie’s background in counseling also includes work with teen runaways, high-risk pregnant teens and women, and counseling all ages on issues of divorce, grief, drug education, HIV/Aids, peer mediation and conflict resolution.

Linda Skolnick, Psy.D.
Linda Skolnick, Psy.D, is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Skolnick is a Registered Play Therapist credentialed through the Association for Play Therapy and is currently training to provide Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Her areas of expertise include working with children (ages 2-10) and their families to evaluate and treat emotional, behavioral, and developmental issues, as well as providing evaluations for children through the Burrell Autism Center.

John Stefanowicz, Ph.D., ABPP
Dr. John Stefanowicz earned his doctorate in psychology at Iowa State University and has been a licensed psychologist for forty years. He is board certified and works in the Children’s Center in Springfield where he focuses mainly on psychological evaluations for children and adolescents.

Richard Stephenson, ACSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Richard Stephenson, is a 1981 graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of the National Association of Social Workers. He is experienced in delivering outpatient behavioral health services to adolescents, adults and senior adults and is available to provide clinical assessment, treatment planning and therapy for individuals, couples, families and groups. Mr. Stephenson is part of the clinical team in Burrell Behavioral Health’s Branson office.

Pamela Stoelzel, MS, LPC
Pamela Stoelzel, LPC, is the Assistant Director of Transitions and a Licensed Professional Counselor. Pam earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Pittsburg State University. She has been with Burrell since 1994 and has expertise in counseling senior adults.

Charles Thomas, MD
Dr. Charles Thomas earned a medical degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 1986 prior to completion of his psychiatric residency in 1990 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Since then, Dr. Thomas has provided psychiatric care including, but not limited to, treatment planning, individual therapy, medical psychotherapy, and medication management and administration to both adults and senior adults. Currently, he practices Adult Psychiatry at Burrell’s Main Center in Springfield.

Tysha Thornton, MS, LPC
Ty Thornton, LPC, earned her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at Evangel University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is an outpatient clinician at out Transitions facility in Springfield and specializes in treating individuals with chronic mental illness and substance abuse issues (dual disorders).

Barbara Wachtel-Nash, Psy.D.
Dr. Barbara Wachtel-Nash, Psy.D, is a licensed psychologist and practices in the Kingsley Clinic in Springfield. Dr. Wachtel-Nash earned her Doctor of Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She specializes in Medical/Health Psychology and Psychological Evaluations.

Susan Waggoner, MA, LPC
With a Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Susan Waggoner is a member of Burrell Behavioral Health’s Adolescent Substance Abuse Program. Susan has extensive experience in providing individual and group therapies in instances involving adolescent substance abuse. She is also certified as an Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach Treatment Provider and is an Administrator, Trainer, and certified Clinical Interpreter for GAIN (Global Appraisal of Individual Needs). Additionally, Susan has specialized training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Tana Leigh Warren, MS, LPC
Tana Leigh Warren, LPC, is an Individual and Family Counselor at Bramblewood Children’s Residential Facility. She earned a Master of Science from Missouri State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Teacher, a Certified School Counselor, and a Certified Mediator. Her areas of expertise are individual and family therapy.

Warren Weston, MD
Dr. Weston graduated from the University of Kansas with his Medical Degree and is a licensed Psychiatrist. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical School and his Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron, Ohio. Dr. Weston is an outpatient psychiatrist at Burrell’s Child and Adolescent Center in Springfield.

Carolyn Williams, MS, LPC
Carolyn Williams, MS, LPC graduated with honors from Southwest Missouri State University with her Master of Science Degree in Guidance and Counseling. She is employed with Burrell Behavioral Health as a part-time, outpatient counselor and has significant experience in delivering therapeutic treatment to adolescents, adults and senior adults. In addition to providing individual, group, family, and marital therapies, Carolyn has expertise in treating individuals with chemical dependency and those presenting with co-occurring disorders. Carolyn is also part of the treatment team at Cox Health Systems Center for Addictions.

Barbara York, BS, OT
Barbara York, OT, graduated from Colorado State University with her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy. Ms. York is a licensed Occupational Therapist and practices in the Burrell Autism Center located within the Child and Adolescent Center in Springfield.

Woodrow Younts, MA, NCC, LPC
Woody Younts, LPC, graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. He is the Assistant Director of Burrell’s Child and Adolescent CPRC Services and is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.
