ABA treatment focuses on observable interaction of environmental variables with human behavior in order to develop a treatment approach focused on increasing behavior of social significance. Particular focus is given to development of a functional verbal repertoire, referred to as Verbal Behavior (VB). Thorough individualized treatment plans are developed for each child participating in on-going consultative services. These individualized treatment plans are reviewed every 4-6 weeks. Parent collaboration and training is a vital piece of ABA services. Parents and caregivers assume an active role on the treatment team.
