In order to promote awareness of the importance of mental health, Burrell sponsored

We appreciated the opportunity to have the above individuals, as well as other children, participate in this special event promoting awareness and the importance of mental health. We are hopeful that this will become an annual event focused around the nationally recognized Children’s Mental Health Week, and that both teachers and students will have future opportunities to discuss positive youth development, resilience and the importance of mental health.
Again, congratulations to all of our 2012 winners, and a special thanks to those who helped encourage students to participate in this unique and worthwhile event. We look forward to many more delightful submissions next year!
