Benchmarks at Burrell: Ethics - Creating a Code of Protection

Featured Speaker: Scott Breedlove, MS, CPS, MARS
This Intermediate-level training will look at ethics from an ethics code perspective. There will be discussion on what principles make up an ethics code, how do codes get created and why do they change and how are codes interpreted and applied in real life situations. Participants will work in a "fishbowl" setting to analyze and create what a code of ethics might look like.
This training is targeted to counselors, therapists, social workers or other behavioral health professionals who must adhere to a code of ethics.

Scott Breedlove holds a Master of Science Degree in Addiction Studies from the University of South Dakota and has 17 years of experience working with clients and serving in various roles including peer, counselor, supervisor, director and trainer. Scott currently serves as the Assistant Director for the Missouri Credentialing Board and has a private practice in which he conducts substance use disorder classes. Scott has been a master trainer for the ATTC Network since 2006 focusing primarily on Clinical Supervision training, Technology Based Clinical Supervision training and Ethics & Technology. Scott is a Certified Peer Specialist, a Medication Awareness Recovery Specialist and an Ordained Christian Counselor.
