Benchmarks at Burrell: Digital Storytelling Workshop

This is a two-day, twelve-hour Digital Storytelling Workshop that is open to NO MORE THAN 20 clinicians providing individual and/or group care to persons who have experienced adverse life events such as death, trauma and chronic illness. This course will introduce learners to narrative theory, storytelling ethics, and will also provide a hands-on opportunity for learners to develop their own digital stories about a significant life event. We will end with a discussion about the potential usefulness of this tool in clinical practice.

Professionals who complete this course will be able to:

  • Develop a basic understanding of narrative theory, and discuss its applicability in therapeutic practice.
  • Describe the steps for completing a digital story.
  • Compose a digital story about a significant life event
