Burrell salutes, strives to aid United States military veterans

By Burrell Behavioral Health

On this Veterans Day, Burrell Behavioral Health extends its depeest appreciation to members of the United States military, past and present, and their families who go through so much in the protection of our country and people around the world.

We recognize the effect being in the military often has on those who serve. Burrell is proud to offer the following programs, among others, that can help ease these burdens.

-- Burrell has several outpatient counselers and psychologists, including telehealth providers, who are veterans and have first-hand experience with military service.

-- Additionally, many Burrell therapists are certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitiztion and Reprocessing) which is an evidence-based practice for helping people deal with trauma. You can learn more about Burrell's outpatient services here.

-- Burrell's recent $2.7 million Treatment and Recovery Expansion and Enhancement (TREE) grant will, among other populations, help returning veterans up to age 25 (and their caregivers) who are struggling with co-occurring substance-use and behavioral health disorders.

-- Burrell Pharmacy accepts all military insurance for prescriptions.

-- Vetarns who were disabled before the age of 22 can often be approved for Burrell's Developmental Services program, including Sheltered Workshop employment. Veterans can also receive Multiple Sclerosis case managmeent services if they receive that diagnosis.

-- As always, Burrell's Crisis line is available to those in immediate need of help. Please call 1-800-494-7355 in Burrell's Southwest region, or call 1-800-395-2132 in our Central region.

We will update this list as relevent programs are instituted.
