Integrated Treatment for Co-occuring Disorders

Overview

Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders (ITCD) operates as a multidisciplinary program. Most services are provided in a client's home or another community setting. The program works with adults ages 18 and up who have a qualifying serious mental illness and a serious co-occurring substance use disorder(s). Client must also have significant functional impairments, emotional disturbance, or severe impairments to daily functioning or independent living skills. ITCD focuses on intense communication between the community support specialists and the ITCD Specialist. The substance use counselor on the team provides individual and group therapy with an emphasis on the effects of co-occurring disorders.

This program is currently offered in Springfield and Columbia, Mo.

Cost & Eligibility Details

Clients must go through a screening process and meet CPRC requirements to qualify for the program. Part of the eligibility is to have a substance use disorder and severe and persistent mental illness. There is no wait list for the program. Services are reserved for clients with Medicaid.
