Dr. Garima Singh named Medical Director for Central Region

Burrell Behavioral Health is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Garima Singh, M.D. as Medical Director for central Missouri.

As Medical Director, Dr. Singh will oversee and promote the quality of psychiatric care for Burrell’s Central Region, which serves Boone, Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau, Morgan, Pettis, Randolph and Saline counties.

Dr. Singh joined Burrell on Aug. 1 after serving as a medical director for the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorder in Columbia. She specializes in child psychiatry, in particular the care of those with special needs, Autism, and developmental delays, and is passionate about bullying prevention. Dr. Singh continues to serve as adjunct faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri. She also is involved with professional panels, teaching and multiple research projects related to mental illness and Autism.

Dr. Singh grew up in India, earning her medical degree there before completing a fellowship in child psychiatry at Southern Illinois University (SIU) and her general psychiatry residency at the University of Missouri School Of Medicine.
