HIV/AIDS

This program is offered in our Southwest Missouri region and helps individuals with HIV/AIDS improve their quality of life by helping them maintain their healthcare and support systems, as well as coordinating resources and advocating for each individual’s needs.

Overview

The staff in our Southwest Missouri Region are ready to assist you with accessing and managing care and resources. Here are a list of the primary services our team provides:

  • Medical care referral
  • Mental health care referral
  • Transportation assistance
  • Medication assistance (limited primarily to HIV medications)
  • Dental assistance
  • Housing/utility assistance
  • Insurance co-pays, insurance continuation assistance
  • Home health care referral


Cost Details

Eligible clients receive case management services for free. They must have a verified HIV diagnosis, be a resident of Missouri, be willing to participate in regular medical care, and be under 300 percent of the federal poverty level.

Burrell is able to work with individuals in the southwest region, including the following counties:
Barry, Barton, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, St. Clair, Shannon, Stone, Taney, Texas, Webster, Wright, and Vernon.

If you are in a different area we can help you find the right agency. Additional services may be available based on eligibility, present funding, and as payer of last resort.
