The Behavioral Crisis Center is a walk-in access point for individuals (18+) in need of immediate psychiatric care, Medication-Assisted Treatment for opioid use, psychiatric assessment, brief therapy, peer support services, up to 23-hour observation, referral to appropriate follow up treatment and more.

Future Programs and Services

Burrell Behavioral Health’s investments to expand service in mid-Missouri will continue in 2025. In September 2024, the City of Columbia allocated Burrell $3 million of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to construct a new Behavioral Crisis Center (BCC) on the same campus as the Phoenix Clinic.
